SPELLING TIP

Do you agree with me that sometimes spelling can be confusing too ? Especially when we need to use in past tense form and to decide whether it is single letter or double letter.

Here's the simple tip :

1. If the words end with a 'consonant' letter and before the letter (last letter) is a 'vowel' letter, the spelling for past tense form must be in double letter . Here are some examples :

TRAVEL - TRAVELLED
HUG - HUGGED
BEG - BEGGED
OCCUR - OCCURRED
SLAP - SLAPPED
PERMIT - PERMITTED

Note : As usual there are exceptions in English. You might come across this tip is not applicable for some words smile emoticon

Happy learning !!!
