I was so surprised when yesterday I posted about 2 adorable books for young children, I received many responses from parents and teachers asking the details of the books.

The books are highly recommended for children of aged 2-5 years old. They are ultimately amazing for the contents are not only introducing alphabet , colours and numbers but it is well integrated with the teaching of tawheed of Islam. Children are already exposed to things made by Allah , to express thanks to Allah and the creation of Allah at very young age !

Learning Alphabet is the first lesson of every child. All languages including English must start from alphabet. However most alphabet books only develop the knowledge of alphabet and simple words without imparting elements of Tawheed and Islam.

These were the questions and laments used to raise out by my students which I believe are the same questions mingled in many other students out there...

Truly indeed, I don't have specific answer for those questions and I also do not think it's wise enough to point fingers blaming individual or organisation or system for those matters.

Everything lies upon us...how serious we are in achieving what we need in life. Are we courageous,spirited and motivated enough? Are we willing to sacrifice our leisure moments, valuable time and even money for enhancing our mastery in this language?

I myself used to be the worst student and was placed in the second last group of English class!
I also used to lament the same thing...BUT ...what change me is...transforming the negative to positive and STOP lamenting , START taking action with full of spirit to be SUCCESSFUL !

We can do it !

VOCAB BOOSTER THROUGH LEARNING COLLOCATIONS

Another way for vocab booster is learning vocab through collocations. What is collocations? Collocations is words that go together. For example :

do the exercises
make mistakes
by train
on foot
good at
have a shower

How many more collocations for 'have' could you write ?
or
list down 5 words that can go together with 'weather'

Tip: Always write down collocations when you learn a new word.

EXPANDING VOCABULARIES THROUGH VOCABULARY TABLEs TECHNIQUE

Lots of us having problem in increasing or memorising new vocabularies in learning English. Typically, what we do is writing down the vocabulary lists and try to memorize the new words... Oppsss... this is not very helpful as it's only for short term memory. Far much better way is expanding vocabulary with Vocabulary Tables ! Vocabulary tables can be very useful in helping intermediate to advanced learners increase vocabulary. It is based on different forms of a particular word that is known to them. In fact, it is very helpful for 'long-term' memory too... It has been almost a month i do not update any new status ! Quite busy writing,updating and editing my new book which will be published very soon... hope so, InshaaAllah !

The book is actually the compilation of my writings on common popular confusion of English language which has been written on my blog and facebook page. Menarik juga utk brkongsi pengalaman di sebuah pasaraya thari tadi. 
Seorang gadis muda mghmpiri sy utk mmpromosikn tilam dn katil. Kebetulan sdg mncari katil baru sy trtarik utk mndgr dgn lbh lnjut. Dia mmbawa sy brjumpa ketuanya dn beliau mmberi penerangan lbh lnjut dlm bhs inggeris yg sedikit brcampur bhs melayu. 

Diringkaskn cerita sy brsetuju utk mmbeli brg trsebut dn gadis itu diarah utk mengisi borang tempahan. Sy berikn mklumat yg dipinta. Tiba di ruangan description of product ketuanya menyebut perincian produk dlm bhs ing spt king size matress...dll. 

Gadis itu trkial2 smbil memandang sy lalu dia tanya macamana ya kak nak eja? Sy trkejut ttp terus mengajar beliau menulis perkataan2 trsebut. Ketuanya menyebut : F.O.C - 3 pillows n 1 bolster...
Saya mengajarnya mengeja prkataan2 trsebut...bimbang disalah tulis habislah saya..

Sy ckp sedih dgn penguasaan bhs inggeris gadis trsebut yg ckp lemah wpun sudah tamat pelajaran hgga ting. 5
Nasib baik dia diterima bekerja disitu ttp sy sempat nasihatkn dia agar lebih berusaha utk kuasai bhs inggeris...
